What is WalletBox?

WalletBox is a secure, privacy-first file storage app. Your files are encrypted on your device and can be unlocked only by your Solana wallet. We never see your unencrypted files or your wallet keys. You are in control, every step of the way.

Step 1: Connect Your Wallet

You need a Solana wallet to use WalletBox. We support Phantom, Backpack, and Solflare.

  • Install your wallet app or browser extension.
  • Create or restore your wallet and store your seed phrase in a safe place.
  • On WalletBox, click Connect Wallet and approve the connection.

Step 2: Upload Your First File

  1. Once your wallet is connected, go to your dashboard.
  2. Click the Upload File button.
  3. Select the file you want to store privately.
  4. Your file is immediately encrypted in your browser before upload starts.
  5. After upload, your encrypted file appears in the list. Only you can access it.

Step 3: Download and Decrypt

  1. In your dashboard, click the Download button for any file.
  2. Your wallet may prompt you to sign and decrypt.
  3. The file is decrypted locally in your browser, never on our servers.
  4. Save your file anywhere you want.

Troubleshooting

Wallet won't connect

Make sure pop-ups are allowed and your extension is unlocked.

Upload fails

Check your internet connection and ensure your file type is supported.

Cannot decrypt

Make sure you're logged in with the same wallet you used to upload.

Lost access to your wallet

WalletBox cannot recover your files. Always back up your seed phrase.

Best Practices

  • Never share your wallet seed phrase or private key with anyone.
  • Always verify the site URL before connecting your wallet.
  • For valuable data, consider using a hardware wallet like Ledger.
  • Keep your device and browser up-to-date for maximum security.
  • Log out of WalletBox on shared computers.
  • Keep your own backups of critical files.
